Services Provided

All therapy services are provided in the client's normal environment (home/school/day program) and education is provided to all of the people involved in the person's life. This allows for maximum improvement in skills and optimum translation of these skills into the different environments in which the person participates.

Sharon is able to provide quality Physiotherapy services for all disabilities/movement difficulties, including:

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Down Syndrome

  • Visual/Hearing impairment

  • Angelman Syndrome

  • Intellectual Disability

  • Autism

  • Global Developmental Delay

  • Neonatal conditions- plagiocephaly, torticollis, erb's palsy

  • Delayed gross motor skills- sitting, walking, running, jumping, ball skills

  • Clumsiness/co-ordination difficulties

  • Declining mobility- mobility assessments, falls prevention

Interventions include:

  • Exercise Prescription/Gross Motor Programs to encourage development of motor skills

  • Hydrotherapy

  • Prescription of standing and walking equipment, strollers and wheelchairs

  • Prescription and application of Theratogs, Kinesiotape and SPIO orthosis

  • Advice regarding orthotics and splinting

  • Mobility/Manual Handling Plans

  • Assistance to enable clients to participate in sporting groups and community, school and employment activities
